Guest at Airtec 2025: Discussing the Future of Electrical Wiring Harness System Development
In the autumn of 2025, we attended Airtec in Augsburg for the first time as trade visitors. The event is regarded as one of the most important meeting points for the European aerospace supply chain, bringing together companies, research institutions, and technology providers from numerous countries.
For us, the trade fair provided an excellent opportunity to gain insights into current developments in the aerospace industry and to engage with companies across the entire value chain.
Many discussions focused on topics such as automation, digitalization, quality assurance, and the increasing complexity of technical systems. These are issues that not only affect the aerospace sector but are also becoming increasingly important in wiring harness and electrical distribution system development.
Particularly valuable were the conversations with OEMs and suppliers about future requirements for development processes, data quality, and the management of complex product structures. Many of the challenges are similar to those we know from the automotive industry. At the same time, different industry perspectives open up new ways of thinking and innovative approaches to solving problems.
Airtec once again demonstrated how important collaboration across industries and organizations is. Innovation often emerges where experience from different fields of application comes together, creating new perspectives.
We would like to thank everyone we spoke with for the open discussions and valuable insights. The event provided us with many new ideas that we will incorporate into future projects and developments.
We are already looking forward to the next opportunities for professional exchange within the aerospace and engineering community.
